Rasmalai || Bengali Dessert || Halwai style

Ingredients

  • Cottage cheese or chhana, 300 gm
  • Flour(maida), 2 tbsp
  • Sugar, 3 cups
  • Water for the sugar syrup, 4 cups
  • Milk, 500 ml
  • Green cardamom powder, 2 tbsp
  • 8-10 Saffron strands(dissolved in warm milk)
  • Edible Kesari food colour (optional)
  • Dry fruits for garnishing
How to make Rasmalai
  1. First take the chhana in a flats plate and knead it well until it smoothen and all lumps are gone.
  2. Then, add 2 tbsp of flour(maida) and 2 tbsp of sugar and knead it well again.
  3. Now, make flat rasmalai balls out of the chhana and let it aside.
