Ingredients
- Chicken, minced,300 gm
- Finely chopped cheese- ¼ cup mozzarella or processed
- Egg- 1 piece, beaten
- Garlic, minced,1 tbsp
- Oregano - ½ Tsp
- Mixed herbs - ½ Tsp
- Flour (optional)
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper
- Butter
- Oil for deep frying
FOR MARINATION
- Egg
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
How to make Chicken Cheese Balls
- At first mix up all the ingredients in a large bowl except flour, bread-crumbs, oil and cheese with a fork or with your hand.
- Now, make medium sized balls out of the chicken mixture and shaped them like fully round balls.
- Add feta cheese or any type of cheese to each ball and roll them into a ball again. Place them on a plate.
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium flame.
- Take a bowl and beat the egg into it & place the bread crumbs in a flattening plate.
- Thereafter, dip each of the balls into an egg and then breadcrumbs. Repeat the same process for each ball to get a nice coating over the cheese balls.
- Now put the cheese balls in the frying pan and keep the flame on medium to burn out the cheese balls.
- Deep fry the cheese balls until it turns golden brown and crisp. Remove from the pan in a plate and drain excess oil with a kitchen tissue.
- Now serve Chicken Cheese Balls with a dipping sauce of your choice.I preferred this awesome snacks with Cheese Sauce.
N.B. You can use Corn-flour as an alternative to Egg.And you also use Oats to make this recipe more healthy as an alternative to breadcrumbs.
