Chilli Chicken || Restaurant Style



Ingredients :
  • Chicken (boneless), 300 gm
  • Oil for deep frying
Marination :
  • Red Chilli powder, 2 tbsp
  • Black pepper powder, 2 tbsp
  • Lemon juice, 2 tbsp
  • Paprika powder, 2 tbsp
  • Tomato sauce, 2 tbsp
  • Soya sauce, 2 tbsp
  • All purpose flour, 1 tbsp
  • Rice flour, 2 tbsp
  • Corn flour, 3 thsp
  • 1 egg (whisk well)
  • Salt to taste
Sauce : 
  • Corn flour, 2 tbsp
  • Water, 1 cup
  • Tomato sauce, 2 tbsp
  • Soya sauce, 1 tbsp
  • Vinegar, 1 tbsp
  • Lemon juice, 2 tbsp
  • Red chilli Sauce, 2 tbsp
  • Green chilli sauce, 2 tbsp
  • Oil
How to make Chilli Chicken : 

Marination : 
  1. Take the chicken and rinse it well under water and strain all water.
  2. Then, take a bowl and add the chicken pieces.
  3. Now, add red chilli powder & black pepper powder and lemon juice,soya sauce,tomato sauce,egg,paprika powder,flour,rice flour,corn flour, salt and mix well.
  4. Make sure that all the chicken pieces are evenly coated.Keep it aside for 30-40 min(overnight marination is better but don't worry 30-40 min marination is not really bad).
Chicken frying : 
  1. Take a pan and putpthe flame on high and add oil for deep frying.
  2. When oil heated up, add the chicken pieces with a fork and  put the flame medium for tender the chicken well.
  3. Wait until the chicken pieces turns into golden brown.In middle flip the chicken pieces.
  4. Take out the chicken pieces in a bowl(use kitchen towel to strain all excess oil of fried chicken).
Sauce: 
  1. Take a pan and put the flame on high.
  2. When the pan heated up well, pour oil .
  3. Then, add chopped ginger & garlic.Give it a quick stir.
  4. Add, onion & capsicum (cut into squares) and add chopped spring onion.Give it a stir.
  5. Add tomato sauce,red chilli sauce,soya sauce,green chilli sauce,red chilli powder,vinegar and stir well.
  6. Add cornflour mixture (previously made) and stir well.
  7. Add water to dilute the sauce consistency and stir again.
  8. Add salt to taste but be careful,all sauces contains salt .
  9. Now add the chicken pieces and give it a gentle stir(don't cook too much after adding the chicken pieces).
  10. Gently sprinkle handful chopped spring onion and stir again.
  11. Now serve the chilli chicken hot(chinese food are good to serve hot).Add some sesame seeds to give it a delicious look.
