Ingredients :
2 and 1/2 cup poha, flattened Rice
2 tbsp Oil
1 tsp Mustard Seeds
1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
1 tsp Fennel Seeds
1 tbsp Peanuts
1 Onion, chopped
1/2 tsp grated Ginger
2 green chilies, finely chopped
7-8 Curry Leaves
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
1/2 tsp red chili powder
Salt to taste
1 tbsp Sugar
2 tbsp Coriander leaves
Salt to taste
1 tbsp Sugar
2 tbsp Coriander leaves for garnishing
How to make Indori poha recipe
1) Wash the poha 3 times, drain and set aside until it is ready to be used. Also mix salt and sugar to the poha itself, so the sugar can be mixed with the poha.
2) Heat oil in a pan, add the mustard seeds and once they start to splutter add eeanuts and saute for a minute Then add onions, green chilies and curry leaves. Cook until the onions turns a little brown in colour.
3) Next add the fennel Seeds, grated ginger, turmeric powder, red chili powder and saute for a few seconds.
4) Add the poha and mix well. Cover and cook on a low heat for 5 minutes. Turn off the heat and sprinkle with chopped coriander leaves.
5) Serve immediately with a hot cup of coffee or tea in this Sunday morning, garnish it with some chopped onions, pomegranate, coriander leaves. If you have some Sev, nothing can beat this wonderful Sunday morning breakfast.
